Beautifully installed resilient flooring in operating room with welded seams in order to provide a seamless, sterile environment. This project earned a 2012 Build CT award from Associated General Contractors of CT. Higgins was proud to be part of this award.
Yale New Haven Hospital Nuclear Cardiology
Location: New Haven, CT

Renovation of hospital space to pave way for this Nuclear Cardiology unit. Forbo marmoleum was expertly installed, including intricate hand cuts and unique designs. The flash cove base was heat welded to ensure a seamless installation for cleanliness and safety.

Smilow Cancer Center

New construction of a 500,000 square foot space with an array of flooring products based on varying patient needs was recently completed. Intricate designs were hand cut and placed in several patient areas to enhance the environment. The use of rubber in all operating areas provides comfort underfoot for the staff while still meeting sterile requirements. A challenging schedule was met and exceeded in order to ensure a timely turnover for the owner's occupancy.

Higgins was pleased to be a part of such a successful partnership between the hospital and the general contractor to create a friendly environment for the children who use these facilities. Nora sheet rubber was used to design welcoming floor patterns. This provides a pleasant atmosphere for the young patients and staff, as well as a clean, professional look.

We were able to create a unique flooring pattern and install this sheet vinyl in this pediatric intensive care unit. We were sensitive to the patient-staff schedule and were able to work around this with utmost professionalism.

Participated in providing flooring for a high tech, clean environment. We encountered an inferior concrete floor and found ways to correct the problem upgrading the sub-floor to the quality required for superior linoleum installation.
