Connecticut Children’s Medical Center partnered with DiGiorgia Associates Inc. to design a space that was pediatric friendly for a 30,000 square foot off-site Ambulatory Surgery Center. DAI worked closely with the hospital to develop a theme derived from four elements of nature: water, sky, wind and earth. M. Frank Higgins carried out these themes by literally making the floor a canvas. A team of Higgins expert installers seamlessly cut several Ginkgo leaves, incorporating the elements earth and wind, into the resilient flooring, ensuring a positive patient-centered experience from the ground up.
