When the Executive Director of the Niantic Children's museum saw some ocean-themed playful carpet in a children's space not far from her, she had to know what it was. After a bit of sleuthing, the director contacted her Milliken vendor who in turn brought in her favorite flooring dealer to make it happen. The flooring dealer was intricately involved in the design of the patterns on the floor. Using the carpet style, Whale Song in color Beluga, the ocean-themed project was off to the races…and completed in three months, quite a feat in these challenging times. The playful whale and sea-themed space was exactly what the director of the museum envisioned. What better way to open up to the public after a two year hiatus than a freshly updated museum space for kids!
